British pop/indie girls are rife at the moment. Which of course is great and there's a few artistes on the fringes of this scene that might not be dwelling in the same limelight as Allen, Lashes & Nash, but to my ears seem to be pushing things forward a touch more. This is just a miniplaylist but I'll keep adding stuff:
To kick off, Micachu (don't like the name but I guess I'm getting old) a really messybutright sound. Next up Marina & the Diamonds wielding an AMAZING Jeckle and Hyde voice with Serj Tankian playing bad cop and Charlotte Church fighting through to deliver the catchey choruses.. And finally just some good indiefolk from Alesi's Ark..
